An English William & Mary Period Oak Chest of Drawers.


Measuring approximately 35.5" x 36" x 22" (width, height, depth)


A charming survivor originating from the William & Mary period, c1689-1702.


Raised on bracket feet and consisting of 2 over 3 drawers, the fronts with alternating rectangular and patterned geometric molding and fine brass drop handles, escutcheons characteristic of  the period.

The clean oak case drawers also retaining their original iron locks and a key.


Wonderful rich medium to dark oak patina throughout.


Condition report.


Once a split chest, later fixed as one. Different handles had been fitted in the past at some time re-placed by original handles or replacement of the period handles.

Some lifting to centre top planks and surface wear.
